Build America Bureau expedites new connector between LA1 and LA 415.
The Department of Transportation issued a $88.3 million loan to the state of Louisiana this month, granting the finances necessary to expedite a new connector between state highways and Interstate 10. This new connector will give the City of Port Allen a more accessible way to reach Interstate 10 from LA 415 and LA 1, joining the three roadways with a 2.7-mile bridge structure over the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.
“The project is critical to improving resiliency and enhancing safety for people in the region by providing a direct connection and evacuation route for areas south of I-10,” said Deputy Transportation Secretary Polly Trottenberg. “The new access west of LA 1 will also support regional economic growth for residents and businesses in this area.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Deputy Secretary Trottenberg to be prudent in her role in the Transportation Department.
- For wisdom for U.S. transportation officials as they grant funding for infrastructure projects around the nation.
